5Great as cigar glue
By smurf
As far as I know there are 2 ways to make cigar glue that will not affect the taste of your cigar, one is pectin and the other is Arabic Gum. It's hard to find pure pectin without any citric acid which I found to ruin the taste of my cigars. I bought this product to repair cracked wrappers which is something every cigar smoker deals with sooner or later. When it comes to mixing ratio, just mix a couple of batches together and see how it works. I usually add a small amount of powder to a bottle cap and add distilled water to it as I mix the two together. After mixing the product I find it best to wait 5-10 mins for the glue to settle and thicken up. After applying the glue it usually dries up in less than 5 mins. It burns clean without changing the taste in any way.

5Nice alternative to more expensive liquids
By Eric K. Talerico
I've been doing a lot of gouache painting lately, and have been chafing a bit at spending ten dollars or more for a tiny bottle of liquid gum arabic. Jacquard's powdered gum is a great substitute. It dissolves easily in water and when added to colors adds a nice, glossy finish. Its also great for improving mixtures when added to dry pigments. If you work in gouache, tempera, or watercolor, I highly recommend this Product!
